Bowls Canada Boulingrin – 2016 Canadian Mixed Pairs Championships Headed to St. Catharines

St. Catharines, Ontario | January 8th, 2016

Bowls Canada Boulingrin is excited to announce that the Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club in St. Catharines, Ontario will be the host of the 2016 Canadian Mixed Pairs Championships from September 15th to September-20th, 2016.

Glenridge Lawn Bowling Club has been at its present location for over thirty years, but in St. Catharines for over ninety years.  The history runs deep within the club and the community.  The Glenridge members are proud to play for such a distinguished club.

Ten teams will compete to represent their Province in the Mixed Pairs Championships. Glenridge President, Val McWilliams, says, “the club is really looking forward to hosting the competition, and being able to showcase the Niagara region to the teams while they are here.  While Glenridge hosts many tournaments and District Playdowns every year, we have not hosted a Provincial or National competition in quite a number of years, and look forward to meeting our fellow bowlers from across Canada”.
